Is Underarm Sweating Getting In The Way Of Your Workday?

Published on May 10, 2017

As the warmer weather quickly returns, many are reminded of this by the increased sweat in their underarms. I am certainly no exception when it comes to this. Many associate Botox or Dysport with a wrinkle reduction treatment on their face. However, there is another treatment that can equally revolutionize the way you feel, particularly the way your underarms feel.

I finally decided to have Botox applied in order to stop the underarm sweating. I tell my patients all the time about the benefits of Botox and Dysport as not only as a relaxer of the lines on the face, but also to minimize sweating.

I have been doing this for over two years now and it is a life changer. I no longer have to worry about my dress shirts getting stained from the antiperspirant and sweat. In fact, I don’t sweat AT ALL anymore in my underarms. I simply use a deodorant and don’t have to worry about any potential harmful effects of an antiperspirant.
The effects to the underarms actually last longer than the typical 3-4 months when placed in the forehead or around the eyes. The effects can last as long as 9 months. Now is the perfect time to start doing this because it essentially covers you throughout the spring, summer, and fall which are the warmest times of year for those of us in the Washington DC area.  It usually requires about 50 units of botulinum toxin to each underarm which means it costs a little more than the average toxin treatment, however, take it from me, once you try it you will soon realize it is worth every penny!
